This is Boccafolle`s premium product. The red wine is produced from the vintage vines of Magliocco and Greco Nero of the Boccafolle estate in Mottafollone (CS) blended with small quantities of Merlot from the wine region of Alta Calabria. The grapes are vinified through a temperature-controlled process and the wine is refined in steel silos first, aged in barrels for 18 months and in bottles briefly thereafter. The color is deep ruby red with intense purple reflections. On the palate it appears balanced, with well-melted tannins and a unique consistency. On the nose there are evident ever-changing aromas of blackberry, blueberry, cinnamon and finally plum.
Both taste and scent are amplified by pairings with dishes from the Mediterranean culinary tradition.
